I was just singing this song and I thought I might find it on the youtubes, and lo & behold:

Beautiful Iran in Photos

If you think that Iran is a desolate, arid, rocky wasteland full of sand and nothingness, then you're in for a pleasant and confusing surprise. Look at this beautiful photo album of the gorgeous Persian countryside. Parts of it looked familiar to me; one shot looks like a stream I used to go to in Pennsylvania, another looks just like a hillside near the place I used to work in Kirkland, Washington. The people look strangely familiar too- like neighbors and relatives and friends. The architecture and the art are both achingly lovely and in some cases, ancient, dating back centuries.
We cannot allow ourselves to get pulled into another misbegotten hate-fueled military action against these people. Politics come and go, money rules the day in that arena, but we cannot destroy and kill these people. They are no more their government that we are currently our government. In the same way that I wouldn't let our leaders even order a sandwich for me, I'm sure Iranians are suspicious of their government and feel as helpless as we have felt throughout these last seven years.
We just can't allow that idiot to bomb these cities and these people. Look at this beautiful country.

For No Reason At All- The Greatest TV Theme Song of My Childhood
I watched yellowed, old repeats of this show on days when I was sick out of school, sitting with tea and toast, wrapped up on the couch in a sleeping bag. As a result, this opener gives me an almost Pavlovian feeling of comfort and delight.
