Richard Scarry Meets The Beatles

From the back cover of the February 1965 issue of Golden Magazine comes this very early reference to the Fab Four by Richard Scarry. Given the lead time on magazines back then, this is an especially early Beatles reference.

I've never seen this reprinted anywhere before. I wonder if they had Scarry himself add the Beatle wigs or if they just asked someone in the production office to do it.

Back from Wally World!

I was treated to a fantastic trip to Walt Disney World that just absolutely could not be topped. It was my friend Cynthia True's birthday, and she and her husband Erik Wiese, along with my old time pal, Cyn's sister Daryle Conners stayed at the Disney Contemporary Resort, and had the most blessed, magical (really, I would use that word!) time.

I was hoping to get my phone repaired so that I could make a proper post to cover the trip, but I'll just add to this one once I get the photos from the dead phone.

We were incredibly lucky with this trip too, since at every turn there were happy accidents and empty lines for the best rides. The timing was perfect throughout the day, every day.

The weather, the company, the everything- just amazing. Thank you to perpetual birthday girl Cynthia and thank you Erik. I even got a little bit of color in that hot Florida sun!
