A Great Anti-Vista Ad from Apple

I'm rockin' Vista right now and I'm having no issue with it whatsoever, but many people really dislike it, some going as far as paying computer repair outfits to scrub Vista out and install Windows XP. Microsoft never gets it right out of the gate. No matter what you think of Vista or what you think of Macs, this ad is most amusing.

OH! Wait! I DID have an issue with Vista and I forgot all about it! I had a scanner- a perfectly good scanner- that I've had for nearly five years now. Since it's older, Epson won't create a Vista compatible driver for it and it's unusable now. Granted, it's five years old, but a few weeks ago it worked as well as it ever had. So, Vista cost me $150.00 for a new scanner. Vista issue #1.

David Lynch On Watching Movies With Your IPhone

I got this link from Boingboing.net. Most BB comments seem to be made by tech junkies who weigh everything against new technology adapters versus idiots. The comments there are sometimes moronic, and the ones relating to this video are even more so than usual.

Check this one:

While I completely agree with him on most of his point, Mr. Lynch is completely off his rocker (as his movies seem to attest to). People have either already seen your movie and loved it (which is why they are watching it again on their flight to where ever), wouldn't have seen it otherwise (what kind of an artist would want to keep his work from being seen - even in less than ideal circumstances), or they are too stupid to appreciate the movie to begin with.

By the way... using YouTube as a platform to complain about a poor quality video experience seems a little disingenuous.

Here's another:

"David Lynch? His movies suck no matter where you watch them."

And this:

Gee, sorry, David Lynch. I didn't realize I had to spend a 6-hour flight watching the back of a seat so you would feel better about your "art".

The "get real" at the end is incredibly ironic.

PC or Mac? What Are You Looking At Right Now?

Just curious, but are you reading this on a PC or on a Mac? I'm still using my cruel, hateful little PC, using Windows XP, and using Firefox as my primary browser (and loving it, I might add).

If you have a moment and are so inclined, leave a comment. If you're using one or the other and wish you were using the opposite, mention that, won't you?

WOW! Has that ever failed! According to my tracking stats, 75 people read this post and decided not to leave a comment. Whew. Err, uh...
